Argentina 30, Ireland 15 in Paris (World Cup, Pool D)

Argentina won by 15 points. Exactly what I predicted.

Reviews

Ireland were the second ‘Home Nations’ team eliminated from the 2007 Rugby World Cup finals. Argentina has proved the point that they must be included in an international tournament, either joining Six Nations or Tri-Nations competitions.

Previews

Ireland’s chances of making the quarter-finals are almost nil. They must defeat Argentina and then hope that Georgia at least draws with France. Realistically we should see Argentina go through to the Quarter-finals at the top of their group.
