Veteran Jason Leonard (Age 35, 114 caps) was dropped from the squad that played Italy.
Matt Dawson (aged 31, 60 Caps) returned to the England starting lineup, as did veteren Niel Back (aged 35, 66 tests) to the reserve bench.
Lock Steve Borthwick returned after a 2 week suspension.
