MATCH NOTES
This was the first ever game of rugby to be played at this hallowed ground of republican Irish sport. Croke Park had replaced Lansdowne Road as the international rugby venue due to rennovations. The attendance was the highest ever for a International Championship game.

A last minute try by Clerc gave the match to France.

Bruno had last played for France v Ireland in the 2006 6 Nations Championship.
