MATCH NOTES
This was a record loss for France against any international rugby team.

Kelleher and McCaw were both playing their 50th tests for New Zealand. Keith Robinson (Waikato) was originally selected but withdrew after an injury received during the pre match warm up. He was replaced by Chris Jack for Flavell to return to the bench.
Mazars, Sourgens and Ouedraogo were making their test debut for France. At 35 years of age, Sourgens became France's oldest debutant. With 5 minutes to play Mignardi was injured. Magne went to the centres whilst former captain Ibanez played on the flank.
