MATCH NOTES This was the first test match between these two African neighbours. Percy Montgomery's 35 points became the new South Africa point scoring record for an individual in a test. It was one point more than Janie De Beer's 34 points scored against England in the 1999 Rugby World Cup Quarter Final. Montgomery and Du Randt were playing their last test on South African soil. Van den Burg was playing his 50th test for South Africa. Fourie reached 100 points for South Africa, scoring his 20th try. Veteran Du Randt scored his first try for South Africa as did Bismark du Plessis Sources http://www.22dropout.com/south-africa/south-africa-105-namibia-13.htm http://www.scrum.com/259_46795.php http://www.rugbynetwork.net/main/s586/st119502.htm http://www.sarugby.net/includes/stats.asp?id=14985 |
