MATCH NOTES
 
This was Marc Lièvremont's first test as coach of France. Trinh-Duc, making his test debut, was the first player of Vietnamese decent to play for France. Fulgence Ouedraogo was born in Burkino Faso. This was Lionel Nallet's first test as captain for France. Along with Trinh-Duc, Brugnaut, Malzieu, who scored a try, and Lionel Faure were also making their test debuts for France.
 Elissalde passed 200 test points for France.
 
De Luca was making his test debut for Scotland. Henderson was playing in his 50th test for Scotland. It was also his birthday.
