MATCH NOTES

Australia gained the Lansdowne Cup, the symbol of Irish-Australian rugby, for the first time since 2006.
New Zealander Deans became the first non-Australian to coach the Wallabies.

Burgess, Hynes and Mumm were making their test debuts for Australia. Baxter played his 50th test for Australia. Horwill's try was his first for Australia.
