Australia's 30 point winning margin against France passed the previous best of 23 achieved during the 1999 World Cup Final.

Turner was making his test debut for Australia. Cross' first try for Australia was his first in test rugby. Hynes also scored his first try for Australia. Giteau passed the 300 test point milestone for Australia.

Peyras, Mermoz, Correia and Caballero were making their test debuts for France.
