MATCH NOTES This was the first test to be played in Aberdeen. The ground had a light covering of snow. "Despite the resounding victory, Ireland's win against Argentina at Croke Park sees Scotland finish outside the IRB's top-eight rankings, meaning they will be drawn against two top-eight teams when the 2011 World Cup draw is made on 1 December". Max Evans, a former golf professional, was making his test debut for Scotland. Cairns, Barclay and Strokosch scored their first tries for Scotland.
