| MATCH NOTES This was the first test match between these two nations. Hong Kong was playing its second test on the European tour. They lost 14-24 to Germany on the 12th December. The Czech Republic selected a number of former test players as a tribute to their contribution to the national game. Jan Macháček, aged 38, playing his 55th test, Antonín Brabec, 37 (45th), Ladislav Vondrášek, 36 (45th), Pavel Syrový, 34 (42nd), Jan Oswald, 34 (36th) and Jan Žíla, 34 (35th) were honoured. It should be noted that 36 year old Jiří Skall, still a regular test player, was playing his 71st test (a national record) for Czech Republic.
